Fancy a career in boat building or boat maintenance? How about developing your wood skills? Or are you interested in any other related maritime activities such as rowing, sailing or fishing?

The Trust can help

If this sounds like you and you have links with Fowey, then why not get in touch with the Nathaniel Symington Charitable Trust? This charity aims to help young people develop an interest in traditional boat building methods or other water activities (including sports and leisure). The Trust could help you start a worthwhile and rewarding career in a vocation steeped in local Cornish history.

Who can apply?

You could be eligible for a Nathaniel Memorial Trust Award. This can be a one-off donation of up to £800, although the Trust will consider larger amounts for projects of special merit. Preference will be given to smaller grants, which can help make a difference to a young person's life.

So why not contact us? We welcome applications from individuals, schools or organisations that have already raised a percentage of funds from other sources. Applicants must show a genuine need for an award - and demonstrate that there will be a real long-term impact and benefit as a result of a donation.
